Taft saved by Colerain
From Local12.com:
A fire investigator is on the scene of a blaze at Taft High School.A blaze destroyed football uniforms in the storage room just off the locker room around 2 this afternoon. No one was hurt and fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.
The building was evacuated but no one was hurt. Damage is estimated at $20,000.
But Coach Mike Martin says he's seen the damage, and the team has lost all their practice and game jerseys plus equipment. He's "devastated" but says his team will take the field tonight in a game against Withrow at Withrow, even if they have to wear shorts and t-shirts.
This afternoon, officials at Colerain High School volunteered to donate white jerseys to the Taft team.
