Cincy Defensive POY: Shane Jones

Moeller linebacker Shane Jones was named the TSF 2012 Cincy Defensive Player of the Year.




Moeller linebacker Shane Jones was named as our as our Cincinnati Defensive Player of the Year as TriStateFootball.com paid tribute to finest from the Cincinnati area’s high school gridiron at the Year In Review Show on Thursday night downtown at the Holy Grail on the Banks.

Jones recorded 130 total tackles with 2.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries with an interception and was the centerpiece of the Crusaders state championship defense. His performance earned him Ohio Division I Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors. He has committed to play football at Michigan State next fall.

Other finalists included Michael Barwick Jr. (Summit Country Day), Daniel Cage (Winton Woods), Nick Isaacs (Withrow), Marcus Oliver (Hamilton), and Brady Vanover (Kings).
