The versatile Cameron Fogle of Conner was honored as our as our Kentucky Defensive Player of the Year as TriStateFootball.com paid tribute to finest from the Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana area’s high school gridiron at the Year In Review Show on Monday night at Quaker Steak & Lube in Florence.
The senior was a stat sheet filler with 50 total tackles, three interceptions, 55 receptions, 24 total touchdowns and 1,989 all-purpose yards as he was named the Class 5A, District 5 Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-Kentucky at wide receiver. Conner ended up 9-3, including wins over Cooper and Covington Catholic.
Fogle finishes his Cougar career with 153 receptions, 2,074 receiving yards, 1,691 rushing yards, 44 total touchdowns (29 rushing & 14 receiving), 4,723 all-purpose yards, 107 total tackles and seven interceptions.
Other finalists included Cameron Pangallo (Bellevue), Taylor Centers (Cooper), Sam Burchell (CovCath), Seth Hope (Highlands), Cole Mosier (Walton-Verona) and Jared Bowling (Simon Kenton).
