Waynesville (2-0) ended Clinton-Massie’s (1-1) 34 game winning streak in front of their home crowd. The Spartans Quarterback Luke Creditt ran for 105 yards a and touchdown. It was Creditt’s second 100 yard rushing performance of the year.

It was Waynesville’s stellar defense that held the Falcons in check all night long. Defensive back Ty Black scored the games first touchdown when he interceptors a pass in the second quarter and took it 85-yards to the house. The Spartans have given up just nine total points on the season.
Head coach Brandon Philpot must now be leery of a letdown game as Waynesville looks to avenge last year’s loss to Eaton (2-0). The Eagles have not lost in 16 straight regular season games. For Clinton-Massie the road doesn’t get any easier as the face off against perennial playoff power, Jonathan Alder.
