Dayton Team of the Year: Clinton-Massie

Clinton-Massie was named the 2012 TSF Dayton Team of the Year.

The Clinton-Massie Falcons were named as TriStateFootball.com’s Dayton Team of the Year Wednesday night at Cadillac Jack’s Sports Bar in Centerville. The boys from Clarksville ran the table going 15-0 on their way to the DIV state title, the school’s first ever.

Clinton-Massie dominated in all phases of the game. The offense set an Ohio state record for points in a single season with 822, and average of 54.6 per contest. The defense held 14 opponents to 14 points or fewer and 11 of those to less than 10 points.

It was the 11th straight season that the Falcons made the post-season and 12th in program history. It was also their second consecutive Regional crown. They raised their all-time playoff record to 17-11.
