The Fort Ancient Valley Cardinal vision saw its fair share of action on Wednesday for National Signing Day as a few players signed their Letters of Intent.
Little Miami’s offensive numbers have been very impressive over the past two years, particularly in the passing game where quarterback Kyle Cook and wide receiver Lance Fanthorp became quite a passing connection. Both players will play at the college level.
Cook committed to Morehead State and Fanthorp will play college ball at Albany.
“I expect to be able to compete for the starting job day one of training camp,” Cook said about choosing Morehead State.
“There was a true freshman that received some playing time this year and therefore I saw that not as they are playing a freshman, therefore I will sit the bench, rather I saw it as they are playing a freshman, therefore if I am the best guy for the job I can play early,” Cook added.
A pair of Turpin seniors also signed on Wednesday. Linebacker Matt Kelly is headed for the University of Charleston and fullback Jeff Groene chose Mercyhurst.
